This session was for someone near and dear to my heart. Gus and his family have been through one heck of a year, to say the least. To see him beat the odds and be here to celebrate his first birthday (and dig into birthday cake!) makes me smile great big and cry all at the same time. I won't lie. Gus did show us his pout face quite a lot and we had to work hard for these smiles! Thank goodness he has aunts and uncles willing to act crazy for him. (Don't worry, it comes naturally for them. ha!)

This was one of my favorite shots of the day - cracks me up every time I look at it!
Now for some photos of Gus's Aunt Lynn, Uncle Doug, and cousin Mallory. As you can see, the good-lookin' gene runs in their family.
Aren't her little baby rolls just precious? It sure made me miss my kids' little rolls at that age.
I think I have had more than my share of cuteness for tonight, so I'm off to sleep. Happy Birthday Gus (a little early)! You have lots to celebrate and many loving people to celebrate with you!
