Happy Birthday Bo!

I was so excited to help my friend Jamie celebrate her son Bo's first birthday. Pete, the kids, and myself had fun attending Bo's party on Saturday and then I got to photograph him on Sunday. He was a total trooper during the session and we got many good shots to choose from. I had a hard time narrowing it down to just a couple of favorites. Here is your sneak peek!

Rodriguez Family Sneak Peek

Happy Thanksgiving to the Rodriguez family! I have a present for you - a sneak peek at your photos! Is it me, or do these kids look like they just stepped out of a GAP advertisement? :)

Baby Carter Sneak Peek

I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet little guy this weekend.  He wasn't too sure about all my flashes at first, but then he warmed up. :)  He really did have his clothes on for most of the session, but the ones that showed off his baby rolls are just so darn cute.  I know his family is anxious for a sneak peek, so here it is:

Happy Birthday Gus!

This session was for someone near and dear to my heart. Gus and his family have been through one heck of a year, to say the least. To see him beat the odds and be here to celebrate his first birthday (and dig into birthday cake!) makes me smile great big and cry all at the same time. Allow me to share some photos/collages from the past year, just to illustrate how far this boy has come. (read more about his journey here)

Fast forward to one year and his photos from this weekend:
I won't lie. Gus did show us his pout face quite a lot and we had to work hard for these smiles! Thank goodness he has aunts and uncles willing to act crazy for him. (Don't worry, it comes naturally for them. ha!)

Gus says, "Am I good lookin' or what?"
This was one of my favorite shots of the day - cracks me up every time I look at it!
Now for some photos of Gus's Aunt Lynn, Uncle Doug, and cousin Mallory. As you can see, the good-lookin' gene runs in their family.
Aren't her little baby rolls just precious? It sure made me miss my kids' little rolls at that age.
I think I have had more than my share of cuteness for tonight, so I'm off to sleep. Happy Birthday Gus (a little early)! You have lots to celebrate and many loving people to celebrate with you!

My Cuties

I thought I'd show a few pics of my little ones in the leaves a few weeks ago.

A few shots from 2 weeks ago, when the fall leaves were at their prime. We visited a park nearby and the kids wanted nothing to do with picture taking.
Say Cheese....
The next day we decided to try again. This time we went to church. Our church has the most beautiful trees. They were slightly more cooperative that day, even though Brielle still didn't want to smile at all. When she finally did smile, Wyatt decided he had a leaf up his pant leg that had to come out NOW. Getting a pic of my two kids smiling is an impossible feat. Sigh.... M&M's were used as bribery to get them to actually sit together and face the same direction.

Reaching for the M&M's bribe...
